Form Field - Mapping Type - Introduction
Map the App Fields with the corresponding Form Fields.
This is the most popular and simplest way of doing the mapping.
The value for the App Field will be taken from the value of the Form Field (Question) submitted by the user.
Select the output format required.
The available output formats are
Comma-separated
Numbered
Bulleted
If numbered type is selected the output value of the field will be displayed in a numbered format.
Note: This output format feature is applicable only for checkbox fields in Google Docs & Google Slides.

Intelligent mapping allows users to

Automatic Mapping
Automatic Mapping allows users to automatically map matching Form Fields with App Fields.
It can also be done by clicking the arrow button that is highlighted.
Automatic Mapping identifies matching Form Fields with App Fields automatically, Form Director shows the number of fields identified and asks for confirmation.
Click Yes to accept automatic mapping. This will add the mapping
Click No if you do not want to do automatic mapping
Automatic Field Creation
Automatic Field Creation allows users to automatically add App Fields into Google Form
It can also be done by clicking the highlighted button.
Automatic Field Creation identifies the not matching app field automatically, Form Director shows the number of fields identified and asks for confirmation.
Click Yes to automatically add App Fields into Google Form
You can choose/select the app fields that you want to add automatically into Google Form.
Click Add App field into Google Form button to add automatically.
Click No if you do not want to do Automatic Field Creation
Additional Settings for "File Upload" type form field
You can embed image file into Google Docs/Slides from File upload option in form field.
Note: Only image files (jpeg, gif, png etc) are supported to be inserted as image
Additional Settings for Date type form field
Select the type of mapping required.
You can select the required date format and time zone in Date type form field.
Select the date format as required.
Select the required timezone.
Save the mapping and submit the form.
A sample output will be shown for the selected date/time format.
Additional Settings for Time type form field
You can select the required Time format and timezone in Date time form field.
Select the time format as required.
Select the required timezone.
Save the mapping and submit the form.
Custom Date/Time format
Users can create their custom date/time format as required.
Select the required time zone.
Select the date/time format as Custom.
Mention the required date and time format as required.
A sample output will be displayed below.
Additional Settings for text type as Formatted Number
You can map text type as number format. this section explains how to do number formatting mapping.
Number formatting is only applicable to text type
Check the Format as Number checkbox
Select the Number format that you want

Save the mapping and submit the form.
Mapping for Multi Choice Grid & Check Box Grid
Multiple Choice Grid and Checkbox Grids are supported in Form Director mapping. This section explains the details on how to do that mapping.
Configure a multiple choice & check box grid inside the form.
Configure a document template with form Grid fields in following format.
${Favourite fruits [Arun]}
Note that the Field Name is of format ${Grid field name[Name of the row]}
Tip: Try creating template of Google Docs/ Slides using Form Director from your form having Grid. The template will be automatically created with the fields in correct format for the Grid.
Map app fields to the corresponding form Fields.
Save the mapping and submit the form.
Note: Intelligent mapping identifies the fields and map them automatically if you follow the format of ${Grid field name[Name of the row]}
